Uzbekistan is one of five republics in Central Asia which used to be part of the Soviet Union. It is bordered by Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and on the south by Afghanistan and Turkmenistan.

Amu Darya River.
Amu Darya, ancient Oxus; Turkmen Amuderya; Uzbek Amudaryo; Tajik Dar'yoi Amu - large river originating in the lofty Pamirs Plateau, Central Asia, about 2495 km - about 1550 mi - in length.

Branches of the Tien Shan mountains.
The western branches of Chatkal mountain ridge close to debauchment of Chatkal River about 120 km. (near 75 mi.) far to south-east from Tashkent.

Kasim-Shaikh Navoi.
It is only curiosity in this city. Formerly the mausoleum of great Sufi Sheikh was the place of pilgrimage around which there was the settlement.

The mountain Ming-Bulok - 2887 m. (about 9 472 ft. ) - of Kardjantov mountain ridge,  which is located about 90 km. (about 55,92 mi.) far to south-east from Tashkent.

Syrdarya, ancient Yaqsart - large river originating in the western branches of Chatkal and Fergana mountain ridges of Tien Shan Mountains, Central Asia, about 2212 km (about 1375 mi) in length.
